Likely more famous across the pond than here, "This Americal Life" is a weekly magazine of the US national public radio providing 1-hour features on a variety of topics. I listened to the "When patents attack" episode and found it quite well narrated and convincing. Highly recommended, despite its... well, 1-hour listening time. It provided real-life examples of how the patent idea was gradually perverted into a shady and innovation-crunching business on the lines of "dear startup, pay now or face multi-million lawsuits" where the actual, supposedly innovative, content of patents is irrelevant to non-existent.
